Out in the garden, fire up the BBQ. And a cup brewed by the owner's wife, Terumi, from pesticide-free herbs she grows in the garden out front, gently eases away the weariness of your journey.

Pets are family too, every bit as much. In the spacious dog run, slip off the leash and let them run to their heart's content. Because this is a place where dogs stay alongside you, you can savor a Sado holiday with no one to answer to.
