This is an absolutely special place to visit, more like staying in a museum than in a typical house. The house is part of a compound with a beautiful well tended vegetable garden and rice fields surrounding the house. The interior of the house is beautifully preserved in every aspect. The original cooking area, high ceilinged dining room and main room couldn't be more beautiful.

The house is amazing. As architects, we were looking for the opportunity to stay in an intact traditional dwelling, and this beautiful rural house exceeded our expectations. Yuichiro, the host, is friendly and has excellent English. Jun, the owner, and his family made us feel very welcome. Our stay here was the high point of our trip in Japan.

It was amazing to stay amongst the rice fields at an authentic country home. The garden was beautiful and we sat outside surrounded by blooming flowers. The property was cosy and homely with the bath being a real highlight for us. The host was friendly and made a real effort to make us feel at home when we arrived

The garden in front of the house was lovely. We travelled with our dog, who happily ran around the wonderful dog run in the garden! The hosts were very kind. The house had all the little things needed for daily life, so we had a comfortable stay. Having two washing machines was very convenient for washing delicate clothes separately from towels and other items!

A wonderful property. It was very clean, and the stylish room, where you can feel the owner's care in the interior and amenities, lifted our spirits. It is about 10 minutes by car from Niigata Station, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and Furumachi-dori is a short walk away, so the location is convenient.

It was a place with the good old scenery and buildings of Japan. We have used vacation rentals several times before, and I honestly think this was the best one yet. There were many good points, but the best of all, I think, is the atmosphere. I really hope you will try it.

A truly lovely house. It was just the season when the rice ripens, and every day we could look out from the windows at golden rice fields, which made for a delightful stay. Everything we needed was there, from cookware and seasonings to towels.

There are no houses next door, and it stands on a rise with open views of the rice fields. It is well equipped, and the air conditioning had been turned on for us in advance, so we were comfortable. For shopping and restaurants, the city center is 10 to 15 minutes by car. Recommended for families who want to unwind in the countryside.

Away from the city, we could spend time in peace. Everything felt very clean and well equipped, so we could relax. It was a lovely place we would like to visit again and again.

The location is good and we had a leisurely stay. The whole house is large and every room is spacious, so it was comfortable. Thanks to the renovation the facilities are new, and we wanted for nothing. It was winter this time so we did not do a BBQ, but next time we would love to come back in summer for one.

Rain was unfortunately forecast for our stay, and when we asked about nearby places we could enjoy even in the rain, they told us about several. We were impressed by what a sincere owner they are. The facilities were clean and it was a very comfortable place to stay. The cushioning on the bed corners showed thoughtful attention to detail. The large windows made the room feel wonderfully open. On a clear night, it looks as though you could watch the stars from bed.

We stayed after the Nagaoka fireworks on August 3. When we let the host know in advance that check-in would be around 1 a.m., they responded thoughtfully. Thank you for having water and even barbecue ingredients ready in the refrigerator. It was a place we would love to stay again!
